Who can take advantage of this offer to acquire Frequent Traveller status?

This offer is for Miles & More members who don’t have frequent flyer status and are holders of a qualifying Miles & More Credit Card. Miles & More members who lost their Frequent Traveller status in March 2026 can still take advantage of a separate offer to renew their status by paying in euros or redeeming miles.

What is a qualifying credit card?

This offer is only valid for holders of one of the following credit cards:

  • Germany: for holders of a Miles & More Gold Credit Card or Miles & More Gold Credit Card Business issued by Deutsche Bank AG.
  • Italy: for holders of a Miles & More Mastercard Gold issued by Advanzia Bank S.A. or a UniCredit Card Flexia Gold Miles & More or UniCredit Card Business Miles & More issued by UniCredit S.p.A.
  • Switzerland: for holders of a SWISS Miles & More Classic Credit Card Duo, SWISS Miles & More Gold Credit Card Duo, SWISS Miles & More Platinum Credit Card Duo, SWISS SME Silver card package, SWISS SME Gold card package or SWISS SME Platinum card package issued by Swisscard AECS GmbH.

No, you can only acquire it for yourself.

How often can I obtain the status this way?

This offer can only be used once.

How long is Frequent Traveller status valid?

The status is valid until 28 February 2027.

How soon can I use my Frequent Traveller status after acquiring it?

Your Frequent Traveller status will appear in your Miles & More account within 7 days. You can then start enjoying the benefits using the digital card in the Miles & More app. You’ll receive your physical status card by post within a few weeks.

As a Miles & More Gold Credit Card holder, will I get a new credit card if I become a Frequent Traveller?

If you have a personal or business Miles & More Gold Credit Card issued by Deutsche Bank AG, your credit card will automatically be switched to a Lufthansa Frequent Traveller Credit Card with a monthly card fee of EUR 5.41 after you complete your purchase. This card is a service card and credit card in one. Your new credit card will be sent automatically, and you don’t need to do anything else.
 

Please note: if you have a business Miles & More Gold Credit Card issued by Deutsche Bank AG for corporate customers, you’ll receive a Miles & More service card that matches your status. Your Miles & More Credit Card doesn’t currently reflect your frequent flyer status. However, you’ll still enjoy all the benefits that come with frequent flyer status and the insurance cover provided by the frequent flyer credit card, and you’ll also get the reduced card price.

Price and payment

How much does Frequent Traveller status cost with this offer?

You can acquire the status for EUR 650 or 80,000 miles (both prices include VAT). The miles will be automatically deducted from your Miles & More account once you’ve completed your order.

Which payment methods are accepted?

You can pay by credit card or Apple Pay.

Will I receive an invoice?

No, you won’t receive an invoice for acquiring your status.

What happens if the payment can’t be completed or the miles can’t be redeemed?

In this case, your Frequent Traveller status will be suspended and you won’t be able to use it. If you’ve already received a card, you’ll have to return it.

Refunds and cancellation

Can I get a refund of the purchase price?

You can request a refund up to 14 days after your purchase, provided you haven’t used the status.

What happens if I achieve Frequent Traveller status the usual way during the term of my status?

In this case, the purchase price won’t be refunded.

The offer is currently available in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Belgium.

As a Miles & More member with a Miles & More Credit Card that entitles you to purchase Frequent Traveller status, you can get Frequent Traveller status once by paying EUR 650 or by redeeming 80,000 miles (both prices include VAT). The status term will end on 28.2.2027.
 

The product can only be used by members without frequent flyer status. It cannot be purchased for third parties.
 

You have the option of paying by credit card or Apple Pay.
 

We reserve the right not to offer certain payment methods when you place your order and to direct you to other payment methods. Payment is only possible in euros.
 

You can also redeem miles. The redeemed miles will be automatically deducted from your Miles & More account once you’ve completed your order. We are not obliged to issue an invoice.
 

If, for reasons beyond the operators’ control, it’s not possible to complete the payment or redeem the miles, the operators reserve the right to suspend the status. In this case, the status can no longer be used.
 

The amount will not be refunded, even in part. This applies, in particular, in the following cases:
 

If you wish to return the Frequent Traveller status card after the cancellation period has expired and the services haven’t been used or are no longer being used.
 

If the number of Points and Qualifying Points required for Frequent Traveller status is credited to your account during the term of the new Frequent Traveller status. This does not affect your right to cancel in accordance with the Miles & More terms and conditions of participation.
 

The ability to purchase Frequent Traveller status depends on the specific credit cards offered by the partner banks in the countries mentioned:

: for holders of a Miles & More Gold Credit Card or Miles & More Gold Credit Card Business issued by Deutsche Bank AG (DB).


Italy
: for holders of a Miles & More Mastercard Gold issued by Advanzia Bank S.A. or a UniCredit Card Flexia Gold Miles & More or UniCredit Card Business Miles & More issued by UniCredit S.p.A.
