What is MilesPay?
MilesPay is a service in the Miles & More app that allows you to redeem award miles for purchases. You need a Miles & More Credit Card to use this service. As soon as you have completed your once-only MilesPay registration in the app, you can combine miles and euros for your purchases - wherever Mastercard is accepted as a payment method.
Important for registering in the Miles & More app: Once you have downloaded the app, please use your existing Miles & More login details to register if you already have a Miles & More service card number. In this way, you will have access with MilesPay to the award miles you have already accrued and will not be inadvertently creating a new mileage account.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to using MilesPay
MilesPay is available to Miles & More members in Germany from Version 5.1 of the Miles & More app.
Register your Miles & More Credit Card once only in the app by entering the credit card number in the field provided.
To redeem miles with MilesPay, open MilesPay in the app, select the preferred mileage amount and click “Activate MilesPay”.
Pay with your Miles & More Credit Card at the cash desk or online within the next 15 minutes. When paying with your physical credit card, make sure to insert or swipe your card in the card reader. You can also pay contactlessly as usual with Apple Pay or Google Pay.
The full amount in euros will initially be debited from your credit card account. The euro equivalent to the mileage amount selected will be credited back to your credit card account within two to three working days.

How do I redeem miles with MilesPay?

Specify the mileage amount you wish to redeem before paying in store or online. This will then be offset against the payment amount. The euro equivalent to the mileage amount selected will be credited back to your credit card account within two to three working days.
Do I have to let them know in the shop that I will be paying part of the bill with miles?
No, because MilesPay works in the background. The retailer will receive their payment in euros as usual, and you will receive a refund of the mileage amount in your credit card account within two to three days.
Can I also use MilesPay abroad?
Yes, you can use MilesPay worldwide. Anywhere Mastercard is accepted as a payment method. If you pay in a currency other than euros, the mileage amount selected will be converted into euros at the current exchange rate and credited back to your credit card account within two to three working days.
How do I keep track of my purchases with MilesPay?
You will find a list of your purchases with MilesPay in the app. Simply open the “Purchases” tab in MilesPay in the Miles & More app. Here you will see the purchases you have made over the last 30 days. You can view older transactions in your Miles & More mileage account. If you wish to be informed about successful purchases right away, activate push notifications for MilesPay on your smartphone under “Settings”.
