How can I book a flight award?

The quickest way to get your flight award ticket is by booking online via the Miles More website. Here you will find flight connections with almost all our airline partners which you can book straight away.

 

In addition, your Miles & More Service Team will, of course, be happy to help you make a reservation. If you wish to book over the phone, please have your PIN to hand for security purposes.

How long are my Miles & More award miles valid for?

Award miles are valid for 36 months from the date of the activity. Unused miles expire at the end of the relevant quarter. We will inform you about mileage expiry in the following ways:

 

  • The miles that are due to expire at the end of the current quarter and at the end of the following quarter are shown in your online statement.

  • You will receive a summary of all the miles that are due to expire at the end of the current quarter approximately two months in advance in your online newsletter which you can subscribe to here. 
     
    Tip: an example as an illustration: you took a flight from Frankfurt to New York on 12.12.2021. The miles you earned for this flight will expire 36 months later at the end of the quarter, i.e. on 31.12.2024.

How long does it take for my miles to appear in my Miles & More account?

How long the mileage credit takes depends on whether it is for a flight, a hotel stay, a rental car booking or a purchase. Our partners send us data for the credit on a regular basis.

 

Information about retroactive mileage credits

How can I earn award miles with flights?

In order to earn award miles on flights with our many airline partners, please quote your Miles & More service card number during the booking. You must use the flights to receive a mileage credit. Paying for the trip alone is not sufficient.

 
Certain booking classes do not entitle you to earn miles with Miles & More. We recommend that you visit our airline pages for further information before making a reservation. 
 
If all the conditions are met, the mileage credit is made automatically within seven working days of departure.

Can I have my miles credited retroactively?

It is possible to process a retroactive mileage credit with Miles & More within 6 months of the date of the activity. With many partners you can arrange the credit using the relevant online form.
