Miles & More and ITA Airways introduce additional benefits starting in May 2026

Frankfurt am Main, 30th April 2026 – ITA Airways and Miles & More are writing the next chapter of their partnership, following Miles & More becoming the official loyalty programme of ITA Airways on 1st April. From May onwards, members will benefit from even more advantages and privileges on ITA Airways flights, particularly with regard to Award Flights, Upgrade Awards and further reward services. At the same time, additional status privileges for Senators and HON Circle Members will be introduced on ITA Airways flights, ensuring an even more seamless travel experience within the Lufthansa Group.

Further key expansion steps in the partnership between Miles & More and ITA Airways

Award Flights will be bookable in ITA Airways' Premium Economy Class, as well as a broader selection of options, including Child Award Flights, World Award Flights and 3-Regions Award Flights. From May, upgrades on flights with ITA Airways can be easily booked using miles or eVouchers via miles-and-more.com. From 4th May, flights with ITA Airways will additionally be integrated into the Miles Bargains. All of this expands the range of options for members to redeem their miles.

Exclusive privileges for Senators and HON Circle Members on flights with ITA Airways

Senators and HON Circle Members will also benefit from enhanced status privileges on flights with ITA Airways. These include, amongst other things, a booking guarantee even on fully booked flights, the option to book Companion Award Flights, and the complimentary carriage of one piece of golf equipment.

HON Circle Members will also enjoy increased Award Flight availability. Furthermore, many status benefits will also be granted for a companion traveling together with the HON Circle Member in the same booking.

Since ITA Airways' closer integration into the Lufthansa Group, the travel and rewards experience for customers has been expanded in several stages since 2025. Members have already been able to earn and redeem miles on flights with ITA Airways for some time, as well as collect Points, Qualifying Points and, in Business Class, HON Circle Points.

In addition, status customers on flights with ITA Airways have previously been able to enjoy various benefits such as Priority Check-in, additional checked baggage allowance, lounge access, and an elevated waitlist priority. Further exclusive services are available for Senators and HON Circle Members, subject to availability and the chosen fare, including Priority Boarding, Fast Lane, expedited baggage handling and complimentary seat reservations.
