All frequent flyer statuses compared

Points are credited for flights operated by Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Croatia Airlines, Discover Airlines, Eurowings, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Lufthansa City, Luxair, SWISS and Star Alliance airlines.
You’ll earn Qualifying Points on flights operated by Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Croatia Airlines, Discover Airlines, Eurowings, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Lufthansa City, Luxair and SWISS.
Points and Qualifying Points are credited for travel with Austrian AIRail, Lufthansa Express Rail and SWISS Air Rail. The maximum number of Qualifying Points that can be earned on train journeys for each status is 160 Qualifying Points for Frequent Traveller status and 500 Qualifying Points for Senator status.
Depending on the airline, some flight numbers and booking classes may not qualify for earning Points and Qualifying Points. You can find further information on our airline partners’ offer pages.
For every qualifying stay at a hotel participating in Marriott Bonvoy, members can earn 40 Points (up to 120 Points per calendar year). A “qualifying stay” means that members pay for a stay of at least two consecutive nights at one of the participating hotel brands.

HON Circle Points are credited for Business and First Class flights operated by Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Croatia Airlines, Discover Airlines, ITA Airways, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Lufthansa City, Luxair and SWISS, as well as for BIZclass flights operated by Eurowings.
HON Circle Points are credited for journeys with Austrian AIRail, Lufthansa Express Rail or SWISS Air Rail, provided the journey is in Business Class. A maximum number of HON Circle Points is defined for achieving HON Circle status: 1,000 HON Circle Points. Depending on the airline, some flight numbers and booking classes may not qualify for earning HON Circle Points. You can find further information on our airline partners’ offer pages.

As a Frequent Traveller, Senator or HON Circle Member, you benefit from an Executive Bonus when earning miles. The bonus is 25% on flights with Discover Airlines, Eurowings, Luxair and other Miles & More airline partners, or 50% on flights with Air Canada, All Nippon Airways, Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Croatia Airlines, ITA Airways, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Lufthansa City, SWISS and United Airlines. As a Senator, you’ll get two upgrade vouchers upon qualification or renewal. As a HON Circle Member, you’ll get four upgrade vouchers. These will be credited electronically. The eVouchers are valid for 24 months and can be used to upgrade to a higher travel class. You can redeem your eVouchers online, via the Miles & More Service Centre or at the airport. Please note that upgrades are not possible on certain booking classes in Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class, and that eVouchers can only be redeemed with restrictions and where available capacity is expected.

The waiting list priority for Frequent Travellers and Senators applies to all flights operated by Star Alliance airlines, but not to upgrades and award bookings. The waiting list priority for HON Circle Members applies to all flights operated by Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Discover Airlines, ITA Airways, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Lufthansa City and SWISS, but not to upgrades and Award Flight bookings.

a) In booking class J in Business Class on flights operated by Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Discover Airlines, Lufthansa, Lufthansa City and SWISS. In booking class C with Croatia Airlines and LOT Polish Airlines.

The booking guarantee can be used in class G in Premium Economy Class on Austrian Airlines, Discover Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS. The booking guarantee is valid in booking class P in Premium Economy Class on flights operated by LOT Polish Airlines.

In booking class Y in Economy Class on flights operated by Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Croatia Airlines, Discover Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Lufthansa City and SWISS.

b) In booking class J in Business Class on flights operated by Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Discover Airlines, Lufthansa, Lufthansa City and SWISS. In booking class C with Croatia Airlines and LOT Polish Airlines.

The booking guarantee can be used in class G in Premium Economy Class on Austrian Airlines, Discover Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS. The booking guarantee is valid in booking class P in Premium Economy Class on flights operated by LOT Polish Airlines.

a) As a Senator, you can reserve a seat free of charge on flights operated by Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Discover Airlines, ITA Airways, Lufthansa, Lufthansa City and SWISS. Bookings in Economy Light on short-haul flights and the Lufthansa Allegris products Extra Long Bed, Business Class Suite and Suite Plus are excluded.

b) As a HON Circle Member, you can reserve a seat free of charge on flights operated by Air Dolomiti, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Discover Airlines, ITA Airways, Lufthansa, Lufthansa City and SWISS. Bookings in Economy Light on short-haul flights and the Lufthansa Allegris products Business Class Suite and Suite Plus are excluded.

Frequent Travellers flying in Economy Class on a scheduled flight operated by a Star Alliance airline or ITA Airways or on a SMART fare with Eurowings can enjoy their stay at the airport in one of the Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa or SWISS Business Lounges, as well as Brussels Airlines lounges. Access to the LOT Business Lounge is available for Frequent Travellers on scheduled Economy Class flights operated by Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Croatia Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Lufthansa City or SWISS. Access to the ITA Airways lounges is available for Frequent Travellers on scheduled flights operated by Lufthansa Group airlines. Children are very welcome in the lounges when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. For youth protection reasons, unaccompanied children under the age of 18 are not allowed entry to the lounges.

For access to the Senator Lounge, your Senator card is required and a boarding pass valid for the date and place of departure on a flight operated by Austrian Airlines, Discover Airlines, Eurowings, ITA Airways, Lufthansa, Lufthansa City, SWISS or code-share partners, or a Star Alliance partner. For access to Star Alliance partners’ Star Gold Lounges, your Senator card is required and a boarding pass valid for the date and place of departure on a Star Alliance flight. You can bring a travel companion free of charge. For access to the Senator and Business Lounges, the accompanying guest(s) must travel on the same flight, and enter and leave the lounge with the person who invited them.
