Add a touch of airline history to your next letter
The Swiss Post has issued a commemorative stamp to mark the 100th anniversary of airmail cargo, featuring a historical Häfeli DH-3 aircraft. The Swiss construction was first deployed in 1919 to transport airmail from Dübendorf to Beundenfeld in Berne. The stamp also depicts a state-of-the-art SWISS CS100 – an aircraft widely praised for its fuel efficiency. In 2016, the Airline of Switzerland became its launching carrier, and continues to deploy it on short- and medium-haul routes across Europe.
SWISS not only ensures the wellbeing of its guests on flights to over 100 destinations, but is also a reliable partner when it comes to transporting important mail. In light of this, SWISS is proud to be depicted on this stamp, which is available for purchase in all Swiss Post offices as well its online shop.
