Hamburg Airport: Earn miles until your flight is called

Hamburg Airport: Earn miles until your flight is called

Miles & More members can also earn award miles in over 20 shops and restaurants at the largest airport in northern Germany effective immediately.

Frankfurt am Main, 5 September 2022 – Under the motto “Earn miles until the plane arrives”, Miles & More members at Hamburg Airport can now also earn one award mile for every EUR 1 they spend in all participating shops, restaurants, cafés & bars. Among others, well-known fashion brands are participating such as Marc O’Polo, Wolford and Gant, but also restaurants such as Gosch Sylt, Starbucks, Sashimi Sushi and Marché. Five award miles will be credited to the mileage account for every euro spent from 1 September to 31 October 2022.

Earn miles at Hamburg Airport – here’s how it works:

When shopping in a participating partner shop, Miles & More members only need to present their (digital) Miles & More service card for scanning. The award miles earned are then credited to your mileage account.

“As Europe’s leading loyalty programme for people on the move, our most important objective is to constantly expand our portfolio along the travel chain and make mileage earning possible for our members with relevant partners and at all important touchpoints”, said Armin Czapla, Senior Director of Partner Sales & Ambient at Miles & More GmbH. “We are now fulfilling this goal with our new partner Hamburg Airport – the largest and most important airport in northern Germany.”

“The cooperation with Miles & More comes at just the right time: demand for business travel is increasing again and airlines are adapting their offers. Over a third of our passengers travel over six times a year, according to our latest passenger survey. The fact that the frequent-flyer northern Germans can now also earn award miles when shopping at Hamburg Airport provides our passengers with high added value and encourages new buying impulses – a real win-win situation”, said Lutz Deubel, Head of the Center Management Business Unit at Hamburg Airport.

With such a wide range of shops, cafés and restaurants, and services, Hamburg Airport is very much a city within a city. Approximately 50 airlines connect Hamburg Airport with 115 national and international direct destinations.
