Hello, how can we help you?

Accessibility Statement for the Miles & More App

Requirements

This accessibility statement applies to version 6.14.1 of the Miles & More app from 7 May 2025.

As a company, we endeavour to make our websites, mailings and mobile applications fully accessible in accordance with the provisions set out in the German Accessibility Improvement Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG) and the Ordinance to the Accessibility Improvement Act (Verordnung zum Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSGV) for implementing the European Accessibility Act (Directive [EU] 2019/882 on the accessibility requirements for products and services).

Compatibility with the requirements to date

The accessibility requirements result from the Ordinance to the Accessibility Improvement Act (BFSGV).

The specific requirements for accessibility have been implemented in accordance with Section 14 BFSG in conjunction with Section 3(1) BFSG of the Ordinance to the Accessibility Improvement Act (BFSGV).

Information about services that meet the accessibility requirements

As a strong brand and loyalty programme of the Lufthansa Group, Miles & More offers over 36 million members access to an exclusive world of more than 175 international partners spanning the entire travel chain and all areas of everyday life. Earning and redeeming miles for awards, and earning Points to achieve frequent flyer status are at the core of this varied programme and its offers, including attractive perks and exclusive travel benefits.

Conformity status

The specific technical measures are based on WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA.

Compliance with the aforementioned requirements has been verified via external assessment (the content was assessed by an external organisation that is not involved in designing and developing the product).

People with disabilities were involved in the accessibility assessment.

With respect to the compliance level represented by WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA, the Miles & More mobile application has the status “partly compliant”.

The following content is not fully accessible:

With a few exceptions, our app is consistent with compliance levels A and AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. The following content is not fully accessible:

  • We are currently working on making all carousel modules on our website accessible.
  • In our interpretation of success criterion 3.1.2 “Language of Parts”, a change of language is indicated for blocks of text but not for individual words.
  • In exceptional cases, the colour contrasts of texts and status displays may be inadequate.
  • We are currently working on supporting 200% text magnification in all areas.
  • We are currently working on separating all images and texts.
  • We are using gender-neutral language. This may currently cause problems when screen readers are being used.
  • In exceptional cases, titles may not be displayed correctly in the app. We are working on a solution to remedy this.

We are continuously working on improving our app. Unfortunately, due to the sheer volume of material, we have not been able to make all digital content and services fully accessible. We are doing our best to swiftly remove all identified barriers for people with disabilities.

Browser dependency

The accessibility of the app has been tested with assistive tools on Google Android (Talkback) and Apple iOS (VoiceOver). Further comments regarding browser dependency: for optimal use, we recommend using the latest version of the mobile operating system.
