Hünenberg, located on the fringes of Lake Zug, is home to the Restaurant Wart. Rich in history, its origins can be traced back to the year 1315. Since a few years, executive chef Sebastian Rabe and his young team are at the helm of this traditional restaurant, which was crowned with 16 Gault & Millau points in 2019. But those expecting to find lobster and oysters on the menu will do so in vain. Though he draws inspiration from modern Nordic cuisine, Sebastian Rabe is committed to using only produce from Switzerland and cooking dishes that the region is famous for. He designs his dishes around the seasonality of regional ingredients and is known to incorporate vegetables and herbs that grow in the restaurant’s very own garden whenever possible.
