Berlin/Frankfurt am Main, 7 March 2018 – 25 years of Miles & More: Europe’s leading frequent flyer and awards programme will become even more attractive for its members and partners during its anniversary year. In May, Miles & More will launch mileage pooling and enable its members to earn award miles together. The Miles & More app will also provide more personalised offers in the future based on the member's location. In addition, Miles & More will run various campaigns and promotions during its anniversary year. The mileage rally at this year’s ITB event marks the beginning of this, which is being extended to several cities across German-speaking countries during early summer. An extensive anniversary programme will follow in the second half of the year.
Mileage pooling: earn awards more quickly together
With mileage pooling, Miles & More is launching an offer tailored in particular to families. Up to two adults and up to five children can pool their award miles together and earn their desired awards more quickly. Miles earned together can be redeemed in equal measure by either adult for awards available in the Miles & More programme, such as for flights or brand-new luggage from the Lufthansa WorldShop.

The offer applies for award miles. Status miles cannot be pooled.
Miles & More goes local
Under the name of ‘Local Specials’, Miles & More successfully launched the promotion of local offers in Vienna at the end of 2017. Members earn award miles when they check out exclusive offers from local Viennese providers in the Miles & More app. Interaction is the basis for earning miles through ‘Local Specials’. It will also be possible to rate offers in the future, which will enable more and more relevant offers to be provided based on member preferences. The local providers place their offers on an online portal and indicate their desired target groups. After the successful launch of ‘Local Specials’ in Vienna, Miles & More will introduce the programme in additional cities later in the year.

Anniversary campaigns: special offers throughout the year
To mark its 25th anniversary, the frequent flyer and awards programme is running various campaigns and promotions. Miles & More is running a mileage rally at ITB in Berlin, where app users can earn 50 miles each at the Miles & More booth and at the booths of 30 programme partners in total. Miles & More is also holding a draw to give away 25,000 award miles each to ten of its members. The fun campaign will be extended to several cities across German-speaking countries in early summer. Members can look forward to exclusive anniversary promotions in the second half of the year. There will be attractive miles offers and great competitions from a range of programme partners each month.
