Good news: infants under two years old at the commencement of travel fly with you free of charge and you do not need a children’s flight award1. If you are travelling with children aged between two and eleven years at commencement of travel, they can fly more cheaply.
Infants (babies under the age of two) may travel with you free of charge. You only pay the taxes, fees and airline surcharges - see the terms and conditions for infants.
If you book a flight award for a child (between the ages of two and eleven years), you incur only 75% of the award miles required for the corresponding flight award with certain airlines.
The following airlines allow you to book a cheaper children’s flight award: Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, SWISS, Eurowings, Air Dolomiti, Brussels Airlines, Croatia Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines and Luxair.
This is how to book this award
- You can book children’s flight awards easily online.
- Bookings for infants can only be made through your local Miles & More Service Team. Contact the team following your online booking with the corresponding booking code.
An award must be booked for the entire journey for any child who will be turning two during the journey. Context: children who turn two during the journey require their own seat for safety reasons.
