SWISS Air Rail increasing rail network
Together with SBB, SWISS offers a first-class mobility network that takes you from selected train stations in Switzerland and neighbouring countries to Zurich airport and back again.
Since last year, SWISS passengers have had access to these Air Rail connections from the SBB rail stations of Basel, Lugano and Geneva to Zurich airport. The destinations of Bellinzona, Bern, Fribourg/Freiburg and Lausanne are now also being added to the route network to provide passengers with even better connections to the SWISS hub at Zurich airport. Also, the Geneva-Zurich airport connection now runs via Biel/Bienne, which saves ten minutes and reduces the total travel time to less than three hours.
From July, SWISS passengers will also have access to an international Air Rail connection with SWISS Air Rail on the route Zurich airport – Bregenz – Munich main station.
With SWISS Air Rail, your boarding pass is automatically your train ticket, and you can enjoy a comfortable journey and flexible ticket conditions. Thanks to SWISS Air Rail, you can relax even if your train is delayed. In this event, we will simply rebook you on a later connection.
