Earn miles at Frankfurt Airport: Now already possible before your flight departs
Miles & More members immediately earn award miles in over 60 shops, restaurants and service facilities at Frankfurt Airport.

Frankfurt am Main, 19 July 2022 – Die Fraport AG is a strategic partner of Miles & More and co-editor of the award programme at Frankfurt Airport. The merger of the brands Lufthansa, Miles & More and Fraport considerably increases the attractiveness of the biggest German air traffic hub as a retail location: Passengers and visitors earn award miles effective immediately everywhere in the airport before departure and can enjoy special campaigns at the start of their trip.
Earn miles in over 60 shops, restaurants and service facilities
Regardless of whether you park your car in the parking garage, eat in one of the numerous restaurants, shop in the (online) shops or take a tour on the airport apron – over 60 shops and services are already involved in the Miles & More programme. This includes the duty-free shops as well as boutiques belonging to Frankfurt Airport Retail GmbH, the joint venture between Gebrüder Heinemann and Fraport AG. In addition, fashion shops, as well as 29 retail and food concept chains belonging to the travel-retail group of companies Lagardère with brands such as Natoo, Relay, Tribs, hub Convenience, Discover and Coffee Fellows, are participating. Additional partners are going to participate in the coming months with the goal of integrating the greatest possible number of shops, services and products at Frankfurt Airport.
“The strategic cooperation with Miles & More is a logical and consistent step in the further development of the passenger and shopping experience at Frankfurt Airport. We can offer our passengers an attractive incentive with comprehensive opportunities to accrue award miles thanks to the use of synergies between both companies”, Benjamin Ritschel emphasised, Vice President of Retail Marketing at Fraport AG. Discover the participating shops at the airport that display the Miles & More miles symbol “M”. When paying, members simply show their digital service card in the Miles & More app or quote it when making an online purchase. The credit request will be automatically credited to your mileage account.
Partnership with great potential
With their own, digital co-brand service card from Miles & More and Frankfurt Airport, new customers can register for the programme directly at the airport and benefit from it. This will gradually include a variety of shops and restaurants as well as the airport operator Fraport’s own service facilities.
“With this strategic partnership, we are establishing a globally renowned awards programme at Frankfurt Airport that enhances the customer experience and covers the entire travel chain of passengers”, stressed Anke Giesen, Member of the Executive Board for Retail and Real Estate at Fraport AG. “The merger increases the attractiveness of our airport as a retail location, also because we are actively recruiting Miles & More members and can thus build our own customer base. This will expand our retail segment in the long term.”
“Frankfurt Airport is the largest hub in Germany for our members. Thanks to our partnership with Fraport, we are significantly optimising the customer journey at the airport and making our programme even more attractive”, said Dr Oliver Schmitt, Managing Director Miles & More GmbH and Senior Vice President of Loyalty & Ancillary Services at the Lufthansa Group. “Our goal is to take up additional retail potential through a more targeted approach and individual offers on site and, above all, to ensure a special customer experience and increased loyalty in different areas for our members.”

Earning miles made easy: special promotions & services
Fraport’s own services, such as the visitor centre and airport tours, are also participating in the partnership. This makes it easy for visitors to earn miles at the airport, even when they are not going on a trip. Guests also earn miles when booking parking spaces online. As a rule, Miles & More customers are credited one mile per EUR 1 spent as part of the partnership. This is enhanced by regularly changing campaigns and promotions with multiple or extra miles. Off we go, straight to the official start of the partnership: Until 31 August, you will get triple miles for every EUR 1 spent at all participating merchants and services.
Members who register at Miles & More via Frankfurt Airport before 31 December 2022 can also look forward to up to 1,000 award miles.
“With this partnership, we are expanding our portfolio along the travel chain for our members and offering them new incentives to participate in the Miles & More programme with special offers”, said Armin Czapla, Senior Director of Partner Sales & Ambient at Miles & More GmbH. “The triad partnership between Lufthansa, Miles & More and Fraport also provides additional retail potential for all sides in a very important location for us.”
Registration via the joint partner page possible
Registration for the programme is via a separate partner page from Frankfurt Airport at www.fra-miles.de. In addition, QR codes are available for registration at all participating shops on site. After successful confirmation of the registration link, new customers can log in to the Miles & More app and start earning miles directly.
