How do I exchange miles for Points and Qualifying Points?

There are several ways to exchange miles for Points and Qualifying Points (not HON Circle Points). All Miles & More members with a Miles & More Credit Card that includes mileage exchange as a benefit can exchange up to 25,000 miles once per calendar year. Frequent Travellers can also exchange miles for Points and Qualifying Points once they achieve a defined number of Qualifying Points within a calendar year.

 

The following general terms and conditions apply to credit card holders when exchanging miles for Points and Qualifying Points:

 

  • You can exchange between 5,000 and 25,000 miles once per calendar year.
  • This applies to miles earned on credit card transactions during the current and previous calendar year.
  • Miles credited as a Welcome Bonus and additional miles awarded during promotions are excluded.
  • You can only exchange your miles for fixed packages. The following options are available:

 

5,000 miles = 20 Points + 20 Qualifying Points

10,000 miles = 40 Points + 40 Qualifying Points

15,000 miles = 60 Points + 60 Qualifying Points
20,000 miles = 80 Points + 80 Qualifying Points

25,000 miles = 100 Points + 100 Qualifying Points

 

  • The miles you exchange will be credited to your Miles & More account as Points and Qualifying Points for the current calendar year and deducted accordingly.
  • A validated exchange cannot be reversed.

 
Please also note the relevant country-specific rules:

 

  • Germany:
    For holders of Lufthansa Miles & More Credit Cards issued by Deutsche Kreditbank AG:
    miles can only be exchanged by holders of the Miles & More Gold Credit Card, the Lufthansa Frequent Traveller Credit Card or the Lufthansa Senator Credit Card.

 

  • Italy:
    For holders of the UniCreditCard Miles & More issued by UniCredit:
    miles can only be exchanged by holders of the UniCreditCard Flexia Gold Miles & More and the UniCreditCard Business Miles & More.

 

  • Switzerland:
    For holders of SWISS Miles & More Credit Cards issued by Swisscard AECS GmbH:
    miles can only be exchanged by holders of the SWISS Miles & More Classic Credit Card Duo, the SWISS Miles & More Gold Credit Card Duo or the SWISS Miles & More Platinum Credit Card Duo.

 

  • USA:
    For holders of the Miles & More® World Elite Mastercard® issued by Barclaycard®:
    miles can only be exchanged by holders of the Miles & More® World Elite Mastercard®.

 

  • Spain:
    For holders of the Miles & More Visa Gold Card issued by CaixaBank Payments, E.F.C., E.P., S.A.U.: miles can only be exchanged by holders of the Miles & More Visa Gold Card.

 

  • Mexico:
    For holders of the Miles & More Mastercard World Elite issued by BANCA MIFEL, S.A., INSTITUCION DE BANCA MULTIPLE, GRUPO FINANCIERO MIFEL: miles can only be exchanged by holders of the Miles & More Mastercard World Elite.
