  • Austrian Airlines CCO Michael Trestl: "We are delighted to now have a Worldshop in Vienna and to offer our guests a special range of co-branded Austrian Airlines products. This also gives our guests the opportunity to take a piece of Austria home with them above the clouds!"

The most important Miles & More retail division is expanding to Austria: from now on, travellers will find the multi-faceted selection of high-quality travel and lifestyle products in a newly opened Worldshop at Vienna Airport. In Terminal 3, Airside, in the area of Gate F, customers can browse the assortment daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., get inspired and earn and redeem Miles & More award miles.

Special offers and limited editions for airline fans

Attractive special offers await customers at the opening of the store. For example, award miles being multiplied tenfold on every purchase, a 20 per cent cash and miles discount on Travelite Airbase trolleys in various colours, a wheel of fortune with instant prizes and, of course, the popular and typical Viennese Mozarttaler.

Another highlight is the newly launched Austrian Airlines Upcycling Collection. It offers aircraft enthusiasts pieces of furniture and accessories made from parts of old Austrian Airlines aircraft. In addition to the Aircrafttag key ring made from the aircraft skin, a wall cabinet and a wine rack are also available - both made from an original baggage compartment door of the Austrian Airlines Airbus A321 with the registration OE-LBD.

"Worldshop stands for inspiring ideas, the highest standards of quality and a unique shopping experience," says Michael Trestl, CCO of Austrian Airlines. "That is why we are particularly pleased to now also have a shop in Vienna and to offer our guests a special range of co-branded Austrian Airlines products as well as other innovative travel and lifestyle products. This also gives our guests the opportunity to take a piece of Austria home with them above the clouds!"

Julian Jäger, member of the Management Board of Flughafen Wien AG: "A highlight for all aviation fans! At Vienna Airport, passengers can now get popular upcycled products made from aircraft interiors as well as everything for travelling. The new Worldshop is ideally located in the departure area of Austrian Airlines and Lufthansa in Terminal 3. Together with Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa and Miles & More, we are thus offering travellers a shopping offer that is unique for Austria."

Worldshop - a success story

Worldshop is a brand of Miles & More GmbH and forms a central pillar of the company's service portfolio in the retail sector. Started in 2002, Worldshop has developed into the most important e-commerce platform of Miles & More GmbH. In the meantime, more than 5,800 products from over 400 premium brands are offered. With limited products in Lufthansa or Austrian Airlines design, Worldshop becomes a real companion in everyday travel and beyond.

"Our many years of experience in the retail sector and an established process and service provider structure make it possible for us to respond individually to the needs of our customers and to further develop products," explains Johann-Philipp Bruns, Managing Director of Miles & More GmbH and responsible for Sales. "The popularity of our products and the 190 billion award miles redeemed since the company was founded show that it is a logical and important step to also expand into other countries with our airport stores and to offer travellers a unique shopping experience on site at the point of sale."

After flight and upgrade awards and hotel and car rental offers, Worldshop is one of the most used ways to redeem Miles & More award miles. Shopping is not only possible in one of the nine Worldshop stores on more than 870 square metres of sales space at the airports Berlin-Brandenburg, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich and Vienna, but also in the online shop worldshop.eu, on board Lufthansa Group Airlines, Swiss (International), Austrian and Lufthansa as well as online at any time.
