Fly sustainably, live more responsibly
Are flying, climate protection and a responsible way of life compatible? At Miles & More, we think they are. That’s why we offer options for sustainable action. For example by offsetting the CO2 emissions from your flights or giving a mileage donation to support one of the many projects run by help alliance, the aid organisation of the Lufthansa Group.
Become a mindfulflyer
For us, flying and sustainable action belong together. That’s why we have created a very simple option in our app so you can offset the CO2 emissions from your flights: the “My mindfulflyer Challenge”. Have your CO2 emissions calculated automatically and offset them flexibly with Cash & Miles. This way you will be making a contribution to the reforestation of woodlands or promoting the use of synthetic kerosene.
You will receive digital badges for your commitment that you can share on your social networks to motivate others to join in. You will become a Climate Supporter when you first offset a flight. You will be awarded a mindfulflyer badge when you offset all your flights from one year.
It works like this
Open “My Challenge” in our app and click on “mindfulflyer”.
Go to “Offset flights” and select one or all of your flights.
Use sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to offset a portion of your flights and make a donation to myclimate.
Use Cash & Miles flexibly at the check-out.
You will receive your virtual “mindfulflyer badge”.
Give the gift of a future with your mileage donation
help alliance, the aid organisation of the Lufthansa Group, has been supporting aid projects worldwide for 20 years. Their particular focus is on school education, healthy nutrition and medical care. Support one of the projects with your award miles.
The Lufthansa Upcycling Collection
Here the end is also a new beginning. With our upcycling project, components from decommissioned Lufthansa aircraft find a new purpose in exclusive lifestyle items: toiletry bags made from a Lufthansa Business Class blanket, desk lamps from a wing slat or a wall clock from a window pane. All items are sustainably recycled and strictly limited.
