How to earn miles with Lufthansa Express

Your Miles, along with any Points, Qualifying Points and HON Circle Points earned on journeys with Lufthansa Express Rail, will be credited to you automatically.
Terms and conditions for earning miles
Lufthansa Express Rail terms and conditions
- You earn miles in Business Class and Economy Class depending on the ticket price, providing you book your ticket through the booking channels of the Lufthansa Group. The mileage amount is equivalent to the ticket price x 4 (or x 6 for members with frequent flyer status). If you book via a different booking channel, miles are awarded in fixed mileage amounts depending on the booking class. You’ll find more information about the mileage calculation here.
- You earn Points, Qualifying Points and HON Circle Points in the same way as you would on flights operated by Lufthansa. A maximum number of Qualifying Points or HON Circle Points is defined for achieving each status on journeys with Lufthansa Express Rail. The maximum thresholds are: 160 Qualifying Points for Frequent Traveller status, 500 Qualifying Points for Senator status and 1,000 HON Circle Points for HON Circle status. - Frequent Travellers, Senators and HON Circle Members also receive 25% more miles in the booking class system.

Lufthansa Express Bus terms and conditions:
- You earn 500 miles in Business Class irrespective of the booking class.
- You earn 125 miles in Economy Class irrespective of the booking class.
- Frequent Travellers, Senators and HON Circle Members also receive 25% more miles.
- You cannot earn Points, Qualifying Points or HON Circle Points on journeys by Lufthansa Express Bus.
- Please note that you must have a ticket for the Express Bus in advance, just as you would for a flight. You cannot purchase tickets from the bus driver.
