HelpAlliance - Lufthansa employees help where help is needed

Employees of Lufthansa founded the charity "HelpAlliance - Lufthanseaten engagieren sich e.V." ("HelpAlliance - Lufthansa employees make a commitment") in 1999 to provide voluntary help where it is urgently needed. Ongoing projects include the construction and operation of orphanages, educational facilities and bush hospitals as well as support for street children.

With HelpAlliance you can use your miles to:

Promote education.

10,000 miles will pay for a child in India to attend school for a year.
20,000 miles will pay one month's salary for a teacher in east or west Africa.
40,000 miles will pay for textbooks and study materials for 50 children in Africa.

Fight disease.

10,000 miles will pay for medical care and sanitation for 50 children in India.
20,000 miles will pay one month's salary for a nurse in east or west Africa.
40,000 miles will pay to treat ten west African children against diseases that are endemic in the tropics.

Alleviate hunger.
